Dr who - The doctor's wife Day!

The TARDIS, drawn off course by the most unlikely distres signal, materialises outside of time and space itself. In this bubble universe, the Doctor meets Idris and her aunt and uncle, who live together in a scrapyard of impossible things. Idris, it seems, is mad. And when the Doctor finds out why she is the way she is, things start to get a bit complicated...And unmentionable.

Dr who series 6 Neil Gaiman episode Title!

The title for Neil Gaimans episode has now been revealed. It is the 4th episode of the series and is written by Neil Gaiman, It stars Suranne Jones and her Character who she plays is called Idris. The episode was originally part of series 5.

So what is it called? Hmm........

Dr who series 6 Mrs Doctor?

A poster on Gallifreybase quite insistent that Suranne Jones’ character Idris who appears in the Neil Gaiman penned Fourth Episode is The Doctor’s wife. 

he poster has a fairly impressive record having hinted at the “Master Race” ending of The End of Time, Part One and revealing that Russell T. Davies would pen and episode of The Sarah Jane Adventures featuring Jo Grant and Matt Smith’s Doctor.

Gaiman and Moffat were teasing the episode on twitter:

Mark Gatiss To Play Doctor Who’s War Chief?

Now it may not be true the picture was taken 2 days ago, its of mark gatiss who looks like the war chief

Now, there’s also some indication that the return of The War Chief will be staged in Neil Gaiman’s episode. Here’s a quote from Doctor Who Magazine in which Gaiman teases some details of his script:

It all starts in void-space, with something or someone we have not seen since The War Games, and a knock on the TARDIS door. The guest star… is the brilliant Suranne Jones, playing someone who is beautiful… and who bites. Might just turn out to be an old acquaintance with a new face.

Filming in america?

A recent CV update for line producer David Mason has thrown up an intriguing entry:

USA Location Shoot Producer: Marcus Wilson

Meanwhile, principal filming draws to a close on the first block of the series, with director Richard Clark commenting: "Last day of filming. (well almost) Suranne has been amazing and all cast a delight to work with. 6 weeks of editing still to go, then the fx, sound, music, colouring... Patience. It'll be worth it.".

Dr who series 6 filming

Neil Gaiman's episode of Doctor Who begins filming today, This means Neil has to keep near to the set. 

I am in Cardiff today and tomorrow. Doctor Who Confidential are going to interview me and I'm now going to steal the TARDIS and explore the whole of space and time fighting evil wherever I encounter it potter about the set for a bit and not look at all suspicious.

Surrane Jones confirmed for 2011

The former Coronation Street star to appear as a young woman called Idris in an episode written by Neil Gaiman.

"Suranne is marvellous. She's beautiful, funny and strange. It's the kind of role that people will remember forever, so we needed someone who was able to pull that off, and to keep up with Matt Smith. And bite him. Suranne does all three."
